New for 2026-27

A conclave that keeps working after you leave

This year the programme is built for what a Principal actually needs: to carry the room home. Every session is captured, summarised and searchable, and the tools below run on the phone already in your pocket — nothing to install.

Ask anything, any time

A conclave assistant on WhatsApp and the web that knows the full programme, your room, the venue and the schedule. “When is the session on NEP?” — answered in seconds, in your language.

Every session, summarised

Within half an hour of each talk you receive the key points and the action items. Nobody has to choose between listening and taking notes.

Live captions in your language

Captions on your own phone while the speaker is talking — English, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, Marathi and more.

Meet the right people

Told who to find at the tea break and why — the three Principals working on the same problem you are, from provinces you have never visited.

Find your way in AR

Point your camera and follow the arrow to your hall, your room or the dining hall. A plain map is always there too.

Your photographs, found for you

Every picture you appear in, gathered automatically and sent to you after the conclave. No scrolling through nine hundred images.

Who we are

The Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel

A Catholic religious congregation of teaching Brothers. Not priests — teachers, by vocation and by vow. In India they run schools, technical institutes, hostels and homes for children who would otherwise be left out.

A vow to teach

The Brothers take the usual vows — poverty, chastity, obedience — and add a life given to education. A Montfort Brother is a teacher first and last.

The last, the least, the lost

St. Louis Marie de Montfort founded the work for children nobody else would teach. That preference has not changed: free schools, hostels for tribal children, institutes for the deaf and the blind.

Present across the world

From rural France in 1715 to India in 1903, and today across Asia, Africa, Europe and the Pacific — including Fiji, Tonga and Indonesia, all represented in these province records.

Community life

Brothers live in community beside the schools they serve. Those 145 communities are the backbone of everything this conclave will discuss.

St. Louis Marie de Montfort 1673 – 1716

A French priest and missionary who preached to the poorest parishes of his time and gathered Brothers to teach their children. Canonised in 1947. The congregations that carry his name — and the schools meeting at this conclave — all trace back to that decision.

Blessed Gabriel Deshayes 1767 – 1841

Took up the scattered Brothers a century later, gave them a rule and a training, and turned them into the teaching congregation that reached India in 1903.

Rooted

Three centuries of teaching

St. Louis Marie de Montfort founded the Brothers to teach the children nobody else would. Blessed Gabriel Deshayes carried that work into schools across the world. The institutions represented at this conclave are the same undertaking, continued.

1715

St. Louis Marie de Montfort

Founds the Brothers of the Company of Mary to teach poor children in rural France.
1821

Blessed Gabriel Deshayes

Takes up the work and shapes the Brothers of St. Gabriel as a teaching congregation.
1903

Arrival in India

The first Brothers reach India. The schools that follow become the network meeting today.
